B4 Felted Bag
Bobbles, Beads, Bumps, Buttons! Knit this fun bag using either worsted or bulky yarns which will determine how large and thick your bag becomes. Using a self-striping yarn (Karaoke and Kureyon come to mind) makes the knitting fun and quick–yet unique. From Once In a Bloomoon Creations, you will love this bag. This 3-session class is taught by Martha. Cost is $35 plus materials.

Basic Knitting
Knitting produces beautiful fabric which allows you to create fun scarves, beautiful sweaters, afghans, mittens, baby items, socks, home decorations and more. You will learn how to knit, purl, cast on, bind off, how to read knitting instructions, and how to measure gauge. We will talk about fiber choice. You will pick the color of yarn you want for your first project and start the project in class. This class is suitable for those with no previous needlework experience. This is a 3 session class taught by Martha. Class fee is $35. Materials are extra.

Socks! Socks! Socks!
After the inspiration of Boot Camp for Socks, we think you'll want to learn all aspects of sock knitting. It is great fun! This basic class will cover ribbings, turning the heel, shaping the heel and how to finish and graft the toe. Basic knitting skills are required. You will knit a basic sock to fit the size foot you choose. This is a 3-session class taught Val. Cost is $35 plus materials.

Heartbeat Sweater
From Jill Vosburg at Just One More Row this unusual sweater begins at the center neckline and is knitted out to any size. Vertical side panels fine-tune the size. Sleeves are knit top down. All these techniques make it easier for you to get the fit you desire. This 3-session class is taught by Dara. Class fee is $35. Materials are extra.

Culinary Colors
Dye, then Knit your Yarn. Knit One, Crochet Too has put together a kit which includes sufficient undyed Dourceur et Soie for two scarves or one shawl, 3 bottles of kitchen-safe, eco-friendly dye and patterns for the shawl or scarf. In the first session you will dye your yarn and leave it to dry. In the next two sessions you will knit your project. You will learn some basic dyeing techniques and lace knitting. The finished product is beautiful. Cost of the class is $35. Kits are extra with class participants getting a 15% discount on your kit.

Short Row Shoulders
Learn how to convert traditional stair-step shoulder instructions into a smooth row of stitches so that shoulders can be knitted together right from the needles-no sewing! We’ll cover the mechanics of Japanese short rows and the three-needle bind-off. This 1-session class, taught by Lana, will meet for 2 hours and cost is $20.

Felting is fun! The first two sessions will involve the basics of felting, selecting your yarn and knitting the tote. This is a great class for knitter ready to move beyond scarves. Totally Tubular

Socialist Sweater
Dream In Color Yarns named this sweater because it is equally fabulous for all ages and for men and women alike. We suggest you consider Dream In Color Yarns but it will look great in a variety of worsted weight wools. This will be a wardrobe staple. We've spread out the class dates so you'll have plenty of knitting time. This 4-session class is taught by Lana. $50 class fee plus materials.

Important Info
Class Policies You must pay the class fee at the time you register for the class. Registration will not be complete until the class fee is paid. We can register you over the phone if you wish to use a credit card for payment at the time of the phone call. If the class fee does not include materials, those materials must be purchased at River Wools. Your class fee is primarily used to pay your instructor. Therefore, we require that you purchase your materials at River Wools which will allow us to keep offering classes.
Class fees are nonrefundable, as a paid fee holds a place in the class and the materials have been prepared for the number of registered participants. If River Wools cancels the class your fee will be refunded. Refund of any class materials will be based on standard refund policy. No partial refund will be issued for sessions you do not attend. Class size will usually be limited to 6 participants so that all receive individual attention. We reserve the right to cancel any class with fewer than 3 participants registered.
Class Supplies Please bring the following items to class with you for your own benefit: Paper and pencil or pen, scissors, measuring tape. All classes require advance registration unless specifically indicated. Please purchase your materials before class unless otherwise requested by River Wools or the instructor. This will insure that the class time scheduled is available for instruction.
